The goldens are winding down and the sallies are picking up speed. The Yellow sallies are the most misunderstood stonefly, they do not crawl to the edge and crack open like other stoneflies or Salmon flies. Instead, they emerge their wings underwater and swim to the surface.
Well trout love em and few know how to fish them other than the dry or egg layer dry.
Try a little lift on your nymphing technic just like deep caddis or better yet swing a soft hackle!
