Hosted Fly Fishing trip to the Yucatan in May 2018! After fishing multiple places on the Yucatan in Mexico from Campeche to Belize I've settled on this place were it all began. A quiet little town near the southern boarder of Mexico with Belize. Last trip Photogallery What makes this place unique is the location of the lodge and the people. The area has gotten a little more popular in the last ten years but frankly where hasn't. The Town still has the same guides and a few new ones most of them I have fished with over the last 10 trips. Some I call family and would not go there with out fishing with them. They are very kind and sociable the way we all have experience traveling to Mexico 30 years ago. All speak enough English or more than expected for sure. I go with the expectations I will have the four guides I know and one extra that is new but phenomenal. We catch Bonefish , Permit, Barracuda, and baby Tarpon. Nearly every time we go one or two of the guests in our party catches a grand slam. One of the qualities that make this area so great is its geography. We have the Ocean side that is behind the reef for many miles north and a little ways south. Then there's the inside or Chetumal Bay which is absolutely huge and mostly undiscovered if your willing to run a little north up the inside. this gives us freedom to rome and NO big long bouncy run to start and end the day. Research and experience has brought me to deciding on early May as the best time for a well rounded trip. The trade winds are shifting to a lighter SE direction, giving the outside (ocean side) a higher possibility of fishing multiple days. The sun which is optimal for saltwater fishing is high in the sky and the heat

What my people say
I wanted to take a minute to thank you for all your past support of the CCA and my annual fundraiser. Jeff with your donations of fishing trips over the last 7 years I wanted to let you know we have been able to raise about $4500 dollars. I think you should know that your money raised has been used to fight political terrorism by certain factions of our legislature and State Senate to do away with the fish and wildlife commission twice. Jeff these tactics were brought up because the CCA had gotten them to manage our fisheries thru economic value and conservation of our wild stocks that need protection, while promoting hatchery stocks to fish for. Jeff the CCA has been instrumental in fighting commercial fishing along with the Wild fish conservancy’s radical views of not having hatchery stocks to supplement our wild stocks, not that some of their ideas were all bad, such as the fact the fish and wildlife department were using inferior Steelhead stocks. That I agree with and applaud them for bringing that to the forefront. Jeff whether or not you agree with all of the politics of fisheries management and the CCA I can say without a doubt we would be in worse shape today without the CCA and our lobbyist fighting for Recreational fishing and our fish. Jeff I just wanted to drop you this note to tell you I appreciate all the past support even though you have decided to drop your donation to the Kitsap CCA.
So thanks Jeff a million times over from me,

Just wanted to send a note to you and the team to let you know that Mary and I had a terrific time at the Bogy House. We enjoyed our time on the water with Aaron and Nate, as they are very hard working personable young men. A big shout out to Andy for the various times he helped us and just because he was always so accommodating and upbeat. Very nice to be around. Annie, well, you know you have a gem on your hands. She was fantastic, I really appreciated the efforts she went through to pick me up and bring me back to the lodge and make me comfortable.
It was also a pleasure to meet the other fine guest you had staying and coming in during our stay. We look forward to fishing with you and the team again, hopefully as soon as this fall and again in the winter. Thought I would attach a couple of our photo's.
Thanks for putting me on my first steelhead.
